In Chennai Central Government Health Scheme was introduced in 1975. It was started with 5 dispensaries. Now, CGHS in Chennai is providing health services the beneficiaries through a network of 14 wellness centers throughout Chennai. CGHS Chennai Administrative office is located at Rajaji Bhavan, Besant Nagar, Chennai.
In Chennai CGHS is serving more than 80,000 beneficiaries though it’s updated and computerized dispensaries to provide best health care services.

Please visit to Sastry bhavan Besant nagar, get application form. You attach your PPO copy and required certificate from MTNL / cca . You can pay lifetime subscription.
I had to avail emergency care at coimbatore for my hip treatment. Now , to claim whom should the bills be send . My wellness center is CGHS adyar. Please advice.
I have submitted two bill for my mother’s treatment( N.Meena)for Rs.51054/- ,Rs.36973/- respectively.For the second bill she has received a letter dt.17/3/20 asking for the original bill for Rs.12145/-. We have enclosed the bill alon with our letter by Speed Post on10/08/20. Till date she has not received the payment nor a reply.Her CHHS no.2509737.Kindly make necessary arrangements for the speedy payment of the bills. My mother is 86 years.
