In 1969 CGHS Wellness Centers was started in Allahabad with just four CGHS dispensaries. Later on 3 more dispensaries were added as an expansion to CGHS facilities. Now Allahabad has a total of 7 wellness centers, one Ayurvedic Dispensary, one homeopathic dispensary and one polyclinic which is providing all specialist services like Medical Specialists, Child Specialist, Radiology, Pathology, Skin Specialist, Dentistry and Dental Hygienist. A pathology unit is also operative at polyclinic.
Working Hours of all CGHS Dispensaries is 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on all working days. Lunch timing is 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Registration closes at 2:45 PM.
