CGHS facility to be exerted to all the places where more central government offices are existing, irrespective of state capital etc. All hospitals which are having more than 20 beds are to be authorised for treatment. Same facilities are provided at places where CGHS Wellness centres are notbavaible. Pensioners who are the members of CGHS are to be provided cashless treatment with in a distance of about 20 Km from their residence.

Presently the eligibility for direct consultation and private ward is based on the basic pay/basic pension where as cghs contribution is based on the basic pay only. In view of this many employees who were eligible for the direct consultation/private ward while in service becomes non eligible after retirement since the basic pension is always less than the basic pay. It is reuested to take necessary action to make the eligibility condition to be revised as bacic pay/ last basic drawn at the time of retirement.
