In Mumbai, Central Government Health Scheme was started in 1963. CGHS started in Mumbai with just 7 dispensaries. Now there are 26 wellness centers, 3 Homoeopathic units, 2 Ayurvedic dispensaries and 2 Polyclinics. CGHS cover up to Goregaon on Western side, up to Mankhurd on the Harbour line side and up to Mulund on the Central side. As on now there are more than 90 thousand CGHS cardholders and approx. 3.5 lakh CGHS beneficiaries in Mumbai.
Working Hours of all CGHS Dispensaries is 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM on all working days. Registration closes at 1:45 PM.
